For any accurate analysis of liquid samples in the laboratory, a crucial factor is the accuracy of the laboratory equipment itself. Discussions regarding liquid samples inevitably involve the use of PCR and centrifuges. PCR plays a vital role in DNA amplification, GMO analysis, and other liquid-based laboratory procedures, while centrifuges are essential for separating liquid components down to the molecular level.
Recognizing the importance of these two instruments, PT Fajar Mas Murni (FMM) reinforces its commitment as a laboratory solutions provider through its flagship UNICORN products, which prioritize technological advancement and affordability. For FMM, reminding customers and laboratory professionals of its commitment to delivering superior equipment support is an ongoing endeavor; this effort continues through various approaches, including knowledge transfer regarding the operation of these two instruments using UNICORN’s flagship products.
This commitment was realized through a workshop on the utilization of PCR and centrifuge technology to support the career development of Laboratory Personnel (PLP) and laboratory technicians, held in collaboration with Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in Semarang on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Initiated by the FMM Laboratory and Inspection Group, the event served as a collaborative platform for FMM, laboratory staff, lecturers, and researchers to share best practices regarding the use of UNICORN PCR and centrifuge equipment.
Utilizing the UNICORN LARK-16 PCR and UNICORN THS16 centrifuge for hands-on practice, participants learned key steps in liquid sample processing, instrument operation, and optimal data interpretation from the instrument modules. The workshop, which featured guidance from UNICORN representatives and presentations on the UNICORN product line (specifically the PCR and centrifuge), was conducted in a hybrid format connecting Semarang (UNDIP) and Singapore (FMM-UNICORN).
More than just a technical presentation, this workshop aims to ensure that researchers and academics are aware that FMM’s role in the laboratory and research sector is to provide top-tier equipment, fully supported by comprehensive after-sales service.
The enthusiasm of the participants, predominantly senior and experienced Laboratory Technical Personnel (PLP), was evident in the high level of interaction during the discussion and practical sessions. The event drew not only PLP staff from the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences but also those from the Faculty of Medicine. This participation from various faculties transformed the workshop into a platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening networks among laboratories at Diponegoro University.
For FMM, the success of a workshop is not always measured by the number of participants, but rather by the lasting benefits experienced after the event concludes. Positive feedback and the expressed desire for follow-up programs motivate us to continue delivering educational activities that are relevant to the needs of laboratory equipment users and the latest technologies employed.
Through ongoing collaboration, particularly with the academic community, FMM aims to remain a trusted partner that not only delivers world-class laboratory products but also supports the enhancement of user competence. We believe that the best investment lies not merely in cutting-edge technology, but also in the knowledge that enables that technology to deliver optimal benefits.
